The Legendary Barbusters started in 1959 in Oswego, NY playing Clubs, College Events and TV Shows including numerous appearances on the famous Bud Ballou TV Show. After being signed to a Philadelphia, PA record company, the band relocated to Philadelphia, PA in 1967 where they recorded originals and played the Tri-State and Jersey Shore clubs. In 1979 the band went “on the road” doing “one-nighters” and playing seven days a week in small concert halls, clubs and colleges for over a decade and opening for various National Acts. In 1990, The Barbusters came off the road and back to their home base in Philadelphia, PA, once again Recording, playing the Jersey Shore clubs, Tri-State area clubs and colleges. From 1999 to 2004, The Legendary Barbusters experienced some personnel changes. At present, Clyde Barrow (Guitar/Lead Vocals/ Song Writer) is the last surviving original member. Current 2nd and 3rd generation members are: Tom Kriczky (Keys), Bobby Michaels (Sax), Pamela Jean (Vocals), Bonny Lynne (Vocals), Mike Bontempo (Bass/Vocals) and JB Smith (Drums/Vocals). The Barbusters have been signed to Five (5) record labels including BenLee, Tonjo, Capitol, Mersey and Country Star. The band has recorded over 100 original songs for those labels and is “Still Rockin’ after all these years”!
